Dr. Yassir is a pediatric orthopaedic surgeon specializing in conditions of the spine with a special focus on scoliosis, the treatment of congenital problems, such as hip dysplasia and clubfeet, and the treatment of childhood injuries, such as sprains and broken bones. He has over 20 years of experience and has taken care of thousands of children in his career.

Dr. Yassir currently serves as the Chief of Orthopaedic Surgery at The Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. He is also a Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Wayne State University School of Medicine and is actively involved in teaching medical students and residents from multiple programs. He also provides continuing education to pediatricians and family practitioners on the topic of pediatric orthopaedics.
